When packing, make sure to keep in mind:
The Weather
Check the weather forecast of your destination a week before you leave. Even if you have most of your packing done, this will help solidify if you need to add or take out any last-minute items that will accommodate the weather!
Your Itinerary
Are there any special activities you and your new spouse will be doing that require clothes or accessories that you wouldn’t normally use? Do you need water shoes? A waterproof bag? Hiking shoes? A fanny pack? Thinking about everything you will be doing will make sure you don’t forget anything!
Your “Must-Haves”
These are the items that you absolutely cannot go on the trip without. Things like passports, IDs, etc. We will be covering a full list of what these might be later on in the article.
You CAN overpack
We know it is easy to overpack, so make sure you pack just enough to where you have everything you need and avoid extra fees and hassle with a heavy bag (or bags)!

- Passports, ID’s (for extra safety, carry photocopies of these with you too)
- Plane Tickets or other travel tickets/booking confirmations
- Credit Cards (take only the ones that you will need. We recommend one credit card and one debit. Don’t forget to tell your credit card company you are traveling!)

- Emergency contact info (you can write this on a card and keep it in your wallet)
- A camera (most people will probably end up using their phones)

- Any Prescription meds you are taking
